Orchestration of Software Packages in Data Science Workflows

6th BSC Severo Ochoa Doctoral Symposium — Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Barcelona, Spain

8 May 2019

Abstract

Presentation at the 6th BSC Severo Ochoa Doctoral Symposium covering the orchestration of software packages in Data Science workflows using COMPSs and PyCOMPSs, including the Distributed Stream Library for hybrid task-based and dataflow workflows.

Automatic Task-based Parallelization of Python Codes

MS12 — SIAM CSE19 (Task-based Programming for Scientific Computing) — Spokane Convention Center, Spokane, Washington, USA

25 February 2019

Abstract

Presentation of AutoParallel at the SIAM Conference on Computational Science and Engineering 2019, within the minisymposium on Task-based Programming for Scientific Computing. Demonstrated how AutoParallel enables automatic parallelisation of Python codes for distributed HPC execution.

Demo on the use of PyCOMPSs in PyMDSetup

SC18 — Barcelona Supercomputing Center Booth #2038 — Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, Texas, USA

14 November 2018

Abstract

Live demonstration of how PyCOMPSs is used in PyMDSetup to orchestrate large-scale Molecular Dynamics simulation workflows on HPC infrastructure, presented at the BSC booth at SuperComputing 2018.

AutoParallel: A Python Module for Automatic Parallelization and Distributed Execution of Affine Loop Nests

PyHPC 2018 — SC18 (8th Workshop on Python for High-Performance and Scientific Computing) — Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas, Texas, USA

12 November 2018

Abstract

Presentation of the AutoParallel Python module at PyHPC 2018, a workshop co-located with SuperComputing 2018. AutoParallel automatically finds an appropriate task-based parallelization of affine loop nests to execute them in parallel in a distributed computing infrastructure.
